Silicon Valley Forum (SVF) today announced a new partnership with Avanta Ventures, the venture capital arm of CSAA Insurance Group. Beginning with a FinTech Pitch Night on August 8th, 2019, the collaboration will introduce a quarterly evening program series on tech topics such as insurtech, mobility, and new customer experiences. The kickoff event will be hosted in Avanta Ventures’ new accelerator space in Mountain View, CA. In addition, SVF and the Avanta team will also be hosting morning VC office hours for early-stage companies throughout the year.
“It’s a pleasure to join forces with Avanta Ventures on this series,” said Denyse Cardozo, CEO of Silicon Valley Forum. “It’s not every day we get to start a new series in a brand-new accelerator space! This partnership is a great opportunity for our community to sync up with a collaborative, innovative venture firm—the Avanta team is working to disrupt legacy industries like InsurTech and Mobility, alongside next-gen tech like Blockchain, and we can’t wait to see the opportunities that grow from this new venture.”
“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Silicon Valley Forum,” said Sanjiv Parikh, Managing Partner at Avanta Ventures. “At Avanta Ventures, we take a comprehensive investment approach that includes not only capital investment, but also dedicated resources, deep industry expertise, as well as business development opportunities for our portfolio companies. Partnerships with leading organizations like Silicon Valley Forum are a critical component of this and enable us to further engage with the Silicon Valley ecosystem.”
