BlueRiver™ AV-over-IP
chipset. The new firmware allows manufacturers of BlueRiver-based AV
transmitters and receivers to remain at the forefront of the migration
from traditional matrix switching to networked distribution solutions in
Pro AV applications.

New BlueRiver capabilities enabled in firmware release 4.0 include:

Thumbnail Source Preview Streams: Thumbnail streams are now
available from both NT1000 and NT2000 TX devices. The new thumbnail
stream allows control software to implement a source preview function
that is enabled and started through the BlueRiver API as either a
unicast or multicast stream. The stream is a standard RTP (Real-time
Transport Protocol) stream and contains a low resolution (320×180)
YCbCr 4:2:2 uncompressed copy of the video source with controllable
frame rate between 0.5 fps and the original source frame rate. -
Bitmap Overlay: Two color bitmap overlay function with
transparency control is now available for NT2000 RX and TX devices. A
monochromatic bitmap with defined foreground and background colors and
transparency value for each can now be sent to either NT2000 RX or TX
device via a BlueRiver API command. Maximum bitmap size is 64K
pixels. For larger overlay, bitmaps can be enlarged using 2x or 4x
pixel replication. -
Dolby Vision Support: Dolby Vision Meta data is now transported
between a Dolby Vision source to a subscribed RX that is connected to
a Dolby Vision capable display. -
NBaseT Support (AQLX107): This release enables NBaseT support
for the Aquantia AQLX107 integrated network PHY. The network PHY can
now be configured to work on networks operating at 2.5G or 5G speeds
in addition to current 10G. The default network speed is initially
configured through Production Assistant and afterwards the speed can
be changed/re-configured through the API.
