In just one year, Patientco has increased the amount of payment dollars processed by more than 65%. By striving to provide patients with a more transparent financial experience, Patientco has grown digital engagement as well. In the last two years, Patientco has increased the number of digital communications sent to patients by more than 450%.
Part of Patientco’s growth can be attributed to the company’s continued product innovation. Earlier this year, Patientco launched Digital-First Billing. Launched in April 2019, Digital-First Billing enables Health Systems to engage with patients via email or text first without mailing a paper statement while providing tailored, affordable payment options. One client who went live with Digital-First Billing saw a 40% increase in self-service payments and reduced their average days to pay by half in just six months.
Patientco also joined the Epic App Orchard this year. The company now offers two payments solutions available in the marketplace: Patientco Patient Payments, which supports self-service payments via MyChart, and Patientco Encrypted Device Integration, which allows staff to collect payments without leaving the Epic workflow.
