“I have anxiously been watching as ‘hacking as a service’ increases and security attacks shift to pivot attacks on lower-tiered connected IoT and IIoT devices,” said Dow. “Couple that with increasing attacks on Operational Technology, where the payback is much larger and the security tools are fewer, and you have the makings of a serious impact on infrastructure and business processes–which could seriously affect all of our livelihoods and government economies. The work we will be doing in the ioXt Alliance is very important for addressing this growing threat. I’m happy to lend my time and expertise to the board of directors.”

Dow has worked in the semiconductor industry for 23 years. He spent 10 years in the Fab as a controls engineer/manager before moving to Corporate Standards, where he drove efforts for the industrial standards WirelessHART and ISA100. As a business developer/marketer, he has specialized in Industrial IoT, smart energy and security for the last nine years. His expertise uniquely positions him to help lead the ioXt Alliance, a group that engages with major IoT stakeholders worldwide to develop verifiable IoT security requirements and enables global manufacturers to make compliant and secure devices.
