partnering with JobTarget to host a charity event supporting the Ronald
McDonald House Charities (RMHC) San Diego as part of its annual
Connections Conference. Conference attendees will fill more than 300
bags with home-away-from home necessities for families with children
being treated for conditions at local hospitals and staying with RMHC.
WHAT: A volunteer event during 2019 SilkRoad Connections inviting
attendees to participate in filling 300 bags with everyday items such as
blankets, card games, Kleenex, water bottles, etc. All materials are
full sponsored by JobTarget. The bags will be delivered to the Ronald
McDonald House for families staying while their child is in treatment at
one of the San Diego-area hospitals.
WHY: SilkRoad’s cultural initiatives include charity and
non-profit activities locally and nationally. This year while in San
Diego, they will support RMHC, which provides a “home-away-from-home”
for families with children being treated for serious, often
life-threatening conditions, at local hospitals. This is the second year
SilkRoad is participating in a local charity initiative as part of
SilkRoad Connections; in 2018, it partnered with Haven
for Hope in San Antonio, TX for an event.
WHO: The event is hosted by SilkRoad and the RMHC give-back
supplies are fully sponsored by JobTarget, a recruitment solution
company helping organizations hire the right talent more efficiently.
WHEN: May 6, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. following the conference sessions
and break-out workshops.
