was honored with a Gold AVA Digital Award at the 2019 awards competition.
The newly updated www.maine.gov/mema
website was designed with the user in mind; it is accessible, relevant,
and combines an intuitive architecture with clear calls to action. The
website is mobile friendly and displays latest news and emergency alerts
and has been streamlined from thousands of pages to fewer than 150.
The site now utilizes the Maine.gov content management system, a
powerful web-based tool that allows agency administrators to easily
manage their website. The content management system has gained in
popularity with more than two dozen sites adopting the platform in the
past 12 months.
The AVA Digital Awards is an international competition that recognizes
excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning,
concept, direction, design and production of digital communication. Work
ranges from digital campaigns to audio and video production, website
development, social media engagement and mobile marketing. The 2019
awards competition received more than 2,500 entries from the United
States, Canada and 23 other countries.
