black-tie awards event at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City on
September 12, 2019.
Now in its 5th year, the WealthManagement.com Industry Awards celebrates
the companies, individuals and organizations that demonstrate
outstanding achievement in support of financial advisor success. A
record number of nominations were submitted this year—more than 650
entries were received from 262 companies.

The Innovation New Applications category recognizes a new technology
innovation, product category or product that enhances an advisors’
ability to move the industry forward, help advisors better run their
businesses, and enhance service to their clients.
InterGen Data worked with Orion Advisor Services and United Planners to
create “UP’s Digital Advisor,” an Amazon Alexa app that integrates
InterGen Data’s Life Stage / Life Event (LSLE) algorithm. It combines
artificial intelligence (AI) and voice integration and passes it
directly to the client record (Notes Section) within Orion Connect via
API’s. Whenever a client has a voice exchange within Alexa, the
financial advisor is immediately notified within the Orion Connect
Portal. Previously, the app earned InterGen Data a Best Newcomer Award
at a live demo during the “Tech’s Got Talent” competition Orion Advisor
Services Fuse 2018 in Miami Beach, Florida.
Client Onboarding/New Account Opening – Account Opening via Amazon
Alexa
The Client Onboarding/New Account Opening category recognizes a new
initiative, product, program, or enhancement to an existing
platform/product designed to streamline and automate the workflows for
signing up new accounts and opening new accounts.
InterGen Data worked with United Planners to allow “UP’s Digital
Advisor,” to create the first artificial intelligence (AI)
conversationally driven account opening platform. InterGen Data’s
Digital Account Opening Platform uses AI to predict future outcomes and
education costs to help families better plan and save for college,
ultimately reducing the amount of student loan debt — now a $1.5
trillion crisis (CNN Money). Through UP’s Digital Advisor and Amazon
Alexa, InterGen Data’s account opening technology can securely open a
529 plan in under 4 minutes via voice technology with Amazon’s Alexa and
a Chat Bot for investment selection.
