XYO,
the geospatial cryptonetwork, continues to expand its Board
of Advisors
and solidify its role as an emerging leader by today
announcing that parent company XY – The Persistent Company has made two
world-class additions to its Advisory Board. Joining the Board are
blockchain expert and former Chief Innovation Officer at IBM for
Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud, Linda Bernardi, and international
Business and Marketing powerhouse Melissa Ehlert-Traub. The newest
Advisory Board members will support XY and XYO’s drive to build out
dataistic networks that encourage the free flow of data, as enabled by
IoT devices of all types, and which bridge blockchain and Dapps with the
physical world.

XYO has aggressively grown and increased its influence in the industry
over the past year, with physical expansion into multiple new office
locations, the buildout and push “live” of the XYO network and XYO
network app, and partnerships with many leading companies and
organizations.

XY and XYO are pleased to debut the following two Advisory Board
members, each of whom brings strategic insights, business acumen and
industry leadership to the group:

Linda Bernardi is a
serial tech entrepreneur, technology disruptor and author, focused on
enabling large enterprises to architect and deploy emerging
technologies, to innovate effectively. Until recently, Linda was Chief
Innovation Officer at IBM, Chief Product & Strategy Officer with Element
AI in Montreal, and Head of Global Strategy at ConsenSys, a leading
blockchain and cryptocurrency company. Linda’s passion with IoT spans
her entire career. At BBN, she was involved in building large scale IoT
solutions. With her first startup ConnecTerra Inc., in Cambridge, MA,
Linda replaced barcodes with RFID, revolutionizing the industry with IoT
solutions. In her subsequent executive roles, she has always been
involved in all aspects of IoT and data in large-scale deployments. Her
second book, “The Inversion Factor” (MIT Press 2018), discusses the
convergence of AI, blockchain, IoT and lays out the emerging
hyper-connected world, and introduces the notion of Inversion: The
paradigm shift to develop products based on customer needs, in real time.

“It is a total pleasure joining XYO as a strategic advisor,” noted
strategic technology advisor Linda Bernardi. “The team’s focus and
direction enables the intelligent integration of data from various
sources in this multi-point connected world, and will be critical in
bringing function and purpose to the millions of IoT devices globally.
We will work together to develop a leading technology that drives value
and integrates the right ecosystem partners to collectively power our
increasingly IoT-driven world.”

Melissa
Ehlert-Traub
is a multi-talented executive whose vast experience
spans leadership roles in the technology industry, time as President and
CEO of a public pharmaceutical company, to entrepreneurial success
internationally as the founder of a successful marketing firm. Parlaying
an entrepreneurial passion for a successful import business bringing
products to the U.S. from Asia in 1991, Ehlert-Traub eventually directed
more than 60 factories and four regional offices to support the
company’s rapid growth. These products fueled her interest and success
for pharmaceutical marketing, and to date, her marketing firm has
launched nearly 70 of the most recognized brands in the industry. Over
the years, Ehlert-Traub has also completed multiple residential and
commercial design and construction projects from the ground up, and
regularly donates time to participate on several Boards serving missions
she feels strongly about.

“I’m delighted to take on this new role with XY and XYO,” commented
Melissa Ehlert-Traub, founder and CEO of global marketing firm
TwentyTwentyForesight, and new advisor with the XYO team. “With my
background, international network and strategic approach to raising
visibility for leading brands, I’m excited by what the company is doing,
and by the futuristic nature of its real-world applications. I look
forward to playing an important role as part of this emerging movement
around XYO.”

“We’re excited to announce these two new and highly-regarded Advisors
have joined our team,” said Arie Trouw, Co-Founder and CEO of XYO. “The
clear and remarkable track record of success and leadership by both
Linda and Melissa speak for themselves, and we couldn’t be happier to
welcome each of them to the team. We’re creating a powerful community of
Dataists around the globe and these newest additions to the Board will
help take our work to the next level.”

Long-time Advisory Board member Paul
Hynek
continues to serve as Advisory Board Chairman. Hynek holds
an MBA from The Wharton School, and is currently a professor of finance
at Pepperdine. Hynek is a member of the globally-oriented Smart Cities
Council.
