Orchestra Macrosystems, a high growth technology company, today announced that David Perkins has joined the company’s Advisory Board. GEN (R) Perkins served as Commander of the U.S. Army’s Training and Doctrine Command from 2014 to 2018.

“Multi-domain operations (MDO) hinge on the speed at which the force can maneuver to a position of advantage which requires commanders to make better and faster decisions than previous warfighting methods. From an exponentiating set of possible outcomes, it is essential for the U.S. military’s success that commanders, assisted by their staffs, are able to isolate single variables that determine failure and success in complex operating environments. While AI can synthesize complex inputs, the human element of leadership is recognizing what AI cannot, and assessing leadership performance optimally depends on the convergence of human and machine evaluation systems. Disaggregated reporting undermines any meaningful force-wide insight into the status, progress, success or failure of the systemic modernizations necessary for MDO. Orchestra, as an adaptive, integrated, intelligent training management platform, is uniquely positioned to propel the Department of Defense’s efforts in optimizing human performance and refining strategic decisions for contemporary combat operations,” GEN (ret.) Perkins said.

“As our armed services adapts its training to meet evolving concerns of national security, it is imperative we empower leadership and warfighters with the software and analytics to optimize individual and collective performance. If you believe, as we do, that success leaves clues, the country that harvests data and applies objectively derived learnings best will possess the requisite edge in future conflicts. Orchestra’s adaptable, customizable software makes it possible to configure, capture, and analyze multidisciplinary individual- and collective assessments to inform resourcing, manpower, and training decisions,” said Dave Maloney, Orchestra’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

This appointment supports Orchestra’s commitment to bring in experienced operators to its Advisory Board to guide the company through its next phase of development and growth.

After successfully scaling a nationally televised multi-event athletic contest and pioneering the gamification of philanthropy, Orchestra’s leadership shifted its focus to matters of national security. The U.S. Air Force’s Expeditionary Center at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst made precision data capture and analysis a reality when it successfully fielded Orchestra’s training management software to configure, organize, and administer collective training exercises and analyze airmen performances at pre-deployment training courses.
