Envistacom Expands Senior Advisory Team to Support Growing Client Requirements and to Advance New Technology Offerings

Envistacom LLC, a technology company that provides communications, cyber, intelligence operations, and support services to U.S. and coalition partners in the aerospace, defense, and intelligence communities, announced the hiring of RADM Scott Sanders (ret.) as its Principal Program Director and Dr. Roy Axford Jr. as an Engineering Fellow and senior member of the Waveform and Analytics Virtualization team.

Former U.S. Navy Rear Admiral Scott Sanders

Scott Sanders joins Envistacom from Ausley Associates where he was the President of acquisitions, logistics and Foreign Military sales of U.S. Navy unmanned aircraft systems, tactical weapons and aircraft systems. He led the company through significant growth and its transition following the acquisition by MAG aerospace. Prior, he was the Senior Vice President and Director for flight Test Operations at Wyle.

Sanders is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and after active duty as a naval aviator, he went into the Navy Reserves where he retired as a Rear Admiral (Upper Half) in 2013. His flag positions included: Joint Staff – Cyber & Ballistic Missile Defense Training; Deputy Commander U.S. Second Fleet; and Vice Commander of Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain.

Roy Axford Jr., Ph.D.

Dr. Roy Axford joins the team following a highly touted 39-year career as DoD civilian – two years with the U.S. Army followed by 37 years with the U.S. Navy. His expertise with DoD requirements and understanding future needs will ensure that Envistacom’s virtualized waveform and data analytics technologies will be well suited for the battlefield of the future.

Dr. Axford holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in communications theory and systems from the University of California at San Diego. During his final 10 years as a civil servant, Dr. Axford was the U.S. Navy’s Senior Technologist in Wireless Communications. He was the Navy’s principal physical layer architect for solutions that delivered low probability of detection and geolocation (LPD/LPG) in shipboard environments from 2014 to 2019. His experience includes analysis, simulation and testing. Dr. Axford also played a leading role in the Navy’s laboratory and over-the-air evaluations of multiple industry interference mitigation offerings for wideband SATCOM starting in 2015.
