eMagin Corporation, or the Company, (NYSE American:EMAN),
a leader in the development, design and manufacture of Active Matrix
OLED microdisplays for high resolution imaging products, today announced
that the Company, under contract from Collins Aerospace has delivered
the initial displays that are being installed in helmets for flight
tests scheduled this year.

These custom-designed Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode
(AMOLED) displays are key components in the F-35 Helmet Mounted Display
Systems (HMDS). eMagin commenced development of this microdisplay in
2013 with the mission of providing a helmet display that has superior
contrast with no “green glow” inherent in the previous display. Lockheed
Martin’s F-35 test pilot, Tony “Brick” Wilson, stated that the eMagin
OLED display “not only reduces green glow, but it completely does away
with it.”

“Our development efforts to support the F-35 Lightning II helmet have
kicked into high gear,” commented Andrew G. Sculley, CEO of eMagin. “We
will continue to deliver displays throughout 2019 and beyond, while
concurrently working closely with the Collins Aerospace team to further
improve the display in preparation for Limited Rate Initial Production
(LRIP).”
