 CIG Expands 5G Wireless Product Offerings for Fronthaul, Midhaul and Backhaul Applications

Cambridge Industries Group (CIG) today announced a full suite of products for 5G wireless fronthaul, midhaul and backhaul applications; and a live demonstration of one of the products: 25G SFP28 ER 40km.

The next generation 5G wireless networks require transmission speed from 10G to 25G; distance to cover 300m, 10km, 20km and 40km; operation temperature to industrial temperature; and BiDi or CWDM products for the markets where fiber is scarce.

The suite of products that CIG provides including:

  • 25G SFP28 I-temp 300m, LR/10km, 20km, ER/40km
  • 25G SFP28 BiDi I-temp 10km, 20km, 40km
  • 25G SFP28 CWDM I-temp 10km
