Carbon Health, the technology-enabled healthcare provider designed from the ground up to put patient-care first, today announced two new hires to help lead the company’s next phase of growth and expansion across the country. Will Abbott joins as Chief Operating Officer and Dr. Sujal Mandavia will be Chief Medical Officer.

“Will and Sujal join us at a pivotal time of growing the business, maximizing the impact we have on patients, and expanding beyond the services we currently offer,” said Eren Bali, co-founder and CEO of Carbon Health. “Both Will and Sujal share our goal of making world-class healthcare accessible to all. From day one, our approach has been to create a team of experts with a deep understanding of both healthcare and technology to make this vision a reality. We are thrilled to welcome them to the Carbon Health team.”

Abbott comes to Carbon Health from CVS Health where he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of its Long-term Care Division, overseeing the operations of pharmacies across the country. During his time at CVS, Abbott served in a variety of roles including Operations, Product Development, and Technology and led mission-critical initiatives for each of CVS’ core business units. As Chief Operating Officer at Carbon Health, Abbott will be responsible for overseeing and scaling the company’s clinics and internal operations as Carbon Health continues to grow its geographical footprint.

Having been in practice for over 20 years, Dr. Mandavia joins Carbon Health with extensive senior healthcare management experience. He most recently served as Senior Vice President at TeamHealth, a leading physician practice, where he supported 2,000 providers across the western U.S. In his role as Chief Medical Officer at Carbon Health, Mandavia will be responsible for overseeing all clinical operations and protocols, as well as the continued expansion of Carbon Health’s world-class clinical care offering. Carbon Health’s co-founder Dr. Caesar Djavaherian will step down as Chief Medical Officer to focus on clinic innovation and data-driven care.

The executive team expansion supports Carbon Health’s rapid growth plans as it continues to increase the number of clinics and service offerings across the nation. Over the next 18 months Carbon Health will be introducing new services including advanced preventive care offerings and virtual care products. The company will also be opening more than 100 new clinics to deliver patient-centric healthcare to thousands of people living in America.
