BrainBox AI, a pioneering leader in autonomous building technology, today announced the company’s Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Jean-Simon Venne, has been awarded a 2021 Report on Business Best Executive Award.

The Report on Business Best Executive Awards is an annual program to celebrate excellence among non-CEO leaders at the SVP, EVP and C-suite (or equivalent) levels.

The 50 winners chosen for 2021 represent the best of Canadian leadership in five functional areas: Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Technology. Jean-Simon was one of 10 winners in the Technology category and was recognized for his outstanding leadership in conceptualizing BrainBox AI’s award-winning artificial intelligence technology and supporting his team of technical experts in bringing the product to market. Venne was the sole Quebecer to be recognized in this category.

“I’m immensely humbled by this recognition from The Globe and Mail but am more so proud of my team who has accelerated the development and adoption of a homegrown, cutting-edge technology that is achieving incredible results for building developers across the globe,” said Jean-Simon Venne, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at BrainBox AI. “As governments and innovators rush to bring our global emissions down to zero, I am extremely proud that we have become a global leader in minimizing the impact of one of the largest contributors to GHG emissions: buildings. I look forward to leading BrainBox AI’s outstanding team as we continue to bring new products to market and contribute to a greener future.”

Winning executives for 2021 were chosen after a call for nominations for leaders in Canadian public and private businesses, not-for-profits, institutions and/or academic institutions. Nominations were assessed by the Report on Business editorial team based on career background, leadership style, achievements, and impact.
