“By now, organizations have become accustomed to leveraging web conferencing solutions to fill internal and external collaboration needs during the pandemic. One outcome of the pandemic’s impact on work has been organizations’ increasing amenability to permanent or long-term hybrid/remote work arrangements; indeed, Info-Tech’s 2021 IT Talent Trend Report shows that just over 80% of respondents reported that senior leadership would have a medium-to-high degree of openness to some roles being permanently remote,” said Emily Sugerman, research specialist, Info-Tech Research Group. “For those in hybrid/remote work environments, web conferencing solutions will be an important part of their employee experience, helping them maintain a sense of employee engagement akin to their onsite peers.”

What makes the SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant different?

The study involves gathering intelligence on user satisfaction with both product features and the experience with the vendor. Aggregated emotional response ratings are included in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation to create a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product – all from the software users’ point of view. SoftwareReviews calls this insight the Net Emotional Footprint.

GoToMeeting, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +91, scored top product in many areas, exceeding user expectations in ease of implementation and video conferencing. Cisco Webex Meetings, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +91, ranked strongly on breadth of feature. Zoho Meeting, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +98, excelled in usability and intuitiveness. Zoom, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +89, excelled in video conferencing and audio conferencing VoIP.

In general, Web Conferencing users were most satisfied with instant messaging – and were most dissatisfied with the lack of ease of customization, which can save time and money.
