Jessica Sieger, product specialist at Beacon Healthcare Systems, will be
one of the featured speakers at the 4th Annual Optimizing Appeals and
Grievances Summit—Improving ODAG & CDAG Outcomes—June 16-18 in
Washington, D.C. The conference is sponsored by RISE, widely considered
the leading source for information on risk adjustment and quality
improvement within healthcare.

In her role at Beacon HCS, Sieger helps clients implement the company’s
Virtual Appeals Manager (VAM), the industry’s most intuitive,
easy-to-use appeals and grievances tool. She will leverage that
experience in her presentation on “Analytical Culture Shift—Embracing
Technology and Inclusion” where conference attendees will hear
Sieger discuss how analytics can provide a holistic view of a health
plan’s data to gain insight and support decision-making. Her
presentation will examine how to develop an analytics strategy, how to
integrate analytics at every step of a plan’s process, and how the
proper use of analytics can impact everything from a plan’s performance
and accreditation to audit results and stars ratings.

“We are living in a time of increased accountability and healthcare
reform, neither of which can be achieved without analytics,” says
Sieger. “This year’s RISE conference is focused on improving CMS ODAG
and CDAG outcomes, which are the primary pain points of health plans
today. I’m looking forward to explaining how Beacon’s view of including
analytics in system configuration and expanding user access and
understanding of analytics can improve those outcomes as well as both
plan and employee processes.”

Beacon HCS’ Virtual Appeals Manager has been shown to improve star
ratings, can be implemented in record time, and help reduce a massive
amount of health plan letters into a manageable and efficient core of
templates. As Beacon HCS’ product specialist for VAM, Sieger meets with
clients during implementation to configure their system and workflows
based on compliance industry best practices and individual client needs.
She also assists with client tickets regarding system configuration,
troubleshooting and reporting.

The RISE conference, of which Beacon HCS is a Gold Sponsor, is designed
for Medicare Advantage and Part D plan executives and managers with
responsibilities for appeals and grievances, operations, customer or
member services, quality improvement, Medicare compliance, audits and
delegate oversight, clinical services, medical management, and call
center operations. It will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner.
