Tyler
Technologies Inc
. (NYSE: TYL) announced
today that the city of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge
consolidated government has successfully gone live with Tyler’s Munis®
enterprise resource planning (ERP) and ExecuTime Time & Attendance
solutions.

Baton Rouge’s legacy solution, consisting of several disparate systems
with limited software integration, data extraction, and connectivity
capabilities, was in place for more than 25 years. Baton Rouge selected
Munis and ExecuTime as the solutions to meet these evolving needs
following an extensive procurement process, during which Baton Rouge
representatives conducted significant research into and reviewed
first-hand ERP solutions deployed in other municipal markets.

Baton Rouge is already experiencing many benefits from Tyler’s Munis and
ExecuTime solutions, including:

  • Vendor self-service functionality, which allows vendors to update
their profile information and view past transactions without needing
    to contact the City-Parish
  • A significant reduction in the time it takes for a vendor to be
    compensated for goods or services
  • The ability to extract Munis data and easily connect to Tyler’s
Socrata Open Checkbook and Socrata Open Expenditures
solutions, two key elements of the City-Parish’s award-winning open
    data program, Open Data BR
  • Streamlined workflows that allow departments to immediately check a
    document’s status in real time
  • Overall increased efficiency for day-to-day ERP tasks

“Our ERP implementation has been a complex process as we’ve worked with
Tyler to replace and consolidate more than 20-year-old systems into one
streamlined solution for our City-Parish government,” said Mayor of
Baton Rouge Sharon Weston Broome. “After this successful deployment, I
am confident that we will continue to see improvements and benefits of
the software as our users become more familiar with the technology and
new business processes. These solutions will bring increased efficiency,
better workflows, data transparency, and increased functionality to all
aspects of our processes.”

“We’ve had a strong partnership with Baton Rouge throughout this
implementation, and we’re pleased to see them taking advantage of many
benefits from their new software,” said Chris Hepburn, president of
Tyler’s ERP & Schools Division. “We’re especially excited about the
integration between Munis and Baton Rouge’s existing Socrata solutions,
where the City-Parish can have better insights into data to make
informed decisions.”

Tyler continues to increase its footprint in Louisiana, adding Baton
Rouge to its existing client base of 37 clients across the state. Baton
Rouge is the capital of Louisiana and located on the eastern bank of the
Mississippi River. It has a population of approximately 225,000.
