AppOmni, provider of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) security and management platform, today announced that Info Security Products Guide (ISPG) has named AppOmni the winner of three 2020 Global Excellence Awards. The annual ISPG awards recognize cybersecurity and information technology companies with advanced, ground-breaking solutions that are helping to improve all areas of security. AppOmni was awarded Gold for SaaS Security Solutions, Silver for Startup of the Year – Security Cloud/SaaS, and AppOmni’s CTO, Brian Soby, was named the Silver winner for CTO of the Year – Security Cloud/SaaS. More than 35 judges from around the world participated in the judging process.

“AppOmni’s most important achievement is our ability to help organizations institute security guardrails to protect cloud data,” says Brendan O’Connor, CEO and Co-Founder, AppOmni. “We are very proud to be recognized by Info Security Products Guide. It not only reinforces the benefit offered by our solution, but also our leadership team’s track record of success in addressing the most pressing security problem we face today.”

AppOmni’s platform translates the current state of an organization’s cloud environment to ensure proper security guardrails are in place and maintained. Rather than identifying data breaches as they occur, AppOmni enables organizations to quickly identify and remediate risky configurations, improper access controls, and data exposures. The platform provides customers an always-on dashboard that delivers visibility into the current state of their cloud/SaaS applications, deviations from their business intent, and a simple way to immediately verify the state of any application from both functional and security perspectives. AppOmni’s platform can be deployed within minutes and immediately integrates into existing workflows to provide actionable insight and visibility.

“When Brendan and I set out to start AppOmni, we were laser-focused on building a platform that solved the industry-wide challenge we faced as developers, which was struggling with cloud data exposures and gaps in security coverage caused by misconfigurations. Ensuring the right security controls are in place across a multitude of applications and environments to support governance and compliance was a recurring challenge,” said Soby. “My career has been driven by passion for the software security industry and making SaaS applications safer for everyone. I am honored to be recognized as one of ISPG’s CTO of the Year award winners, and look forward to all that our team will accomplish in 2020.”

These awards come on the heels of AppOmni’s recent participation in the 2020 RSA Conference Innovation Sandbox Competition, where the company presented their solution and finished as a top 10 finalist. Additionally, the company announced its $10 million Series A in January 2020.
