Advanced
Energy Industries, Inc
. (Nasdaq: AEIS) – a global leader in highly
engineered, precision power conversion, measurement and control
solutions – is pleased to announce it has been awarded Platinum level
from ClimateWise,
a voluntary climate change action program in Fort Collins, Colo. that
offers simple solutions to help businesses reduce their environmental
impact, save money and gain recognition for their conservation
achievements. Attaining the highest award level for the second
consecutive year, Advanced Energy proudly accepted its award at
Envirovation, a ClimateWise recognition event that took place on April
25, 2019 at the Drake Centre in Fort Collins.

The ClimateWise program offers five primary badges – Energy, Water,
Waste, Transportation and Social Responsibility – and one specialty
badge that can be earned by companies helping the city of Fort Collins
achieve its environmental goals. Each badge embraces a combination of
best management practices, actions, projects, innovative ideas,
challenges and educational events. Every year, businesses are awarded a
level based on the total points achieved across all the badges.

“As the Mayor of the City of Fort Collins, I’d like to thank Advanced
Energy for their longtime participation and contributions to the
ClimateWise program and the Fort Collins community,” says Fort Collins
Mayor, Wade Troxell. “Since 2001, their staff has played a critical role
in supporting the City’s Climate Action Plan goals by serving on the
program’s Advisory Committee and in turn influencing the overall
direction of this longtime sustainability program,” adds Mayor Troxell.
“By setting annual operational goals to reduce their facility and staff
member’s environmental impact, they’ve helped create a forward-thinking
standard for others to follow. Advanced Energy is a leading energy
technology company that helps our climate economy objectives as well.”

“As one of 190 participating businesses and organizations, we are proud
of our collaborative efforts to support the City of Fort Collins’
Climate Action Plan and to be a good corporate citizen of our hometown,”
says JD Johnson, environmental compliance manager at Advanced Energy.
“Our programs not only reduced our environmental impact as a company,
but also created sustainable ideas to help our customers and improve our
community.”

Among its 2018 ClimateWise highlights, Advanced Energy diverted 77
percent of its waste to recycling. Profits from recycling cover landfill
charges and fund programs that build employee awareness and good habits
in recycling and conservation both at work and home.

Johnson added, “I also thank the dedicated individuals in our facilities
department who do all the heavy lifting every day and serve as the
muscle behind our environmental efforts.”
