ActivTrak, a workforce analytics and productivity platform provider, today announced ActivTrak Coach, an in-product virtual productivity coach that captures and analyzes team data on a weekly basis to identify patterns and provide actionable guidance tailored to help teams work wiser.

New remote and hybrid work models have increased the challenges that face today’s front-line managers in coordinating logistics, maintaining culture and ensuring wellness across myriad time zones, locations and scenarios. And for many, this combination of critical responsibilities isn’t something they feel confident about.

Recent ActivTrak survey data shows that despite being more productive than they were pre-pandemic (58%), most organizations didn’t have a consistent approach to measuring productivity (61%), citing managerial coaching as the top area of concern (23%) with regard to recognizing obstacles and having constructive dialogue with employees.

As more companies embrace hybrid/flexible work models, managers need new tools to understand how teams are working, ensure they are focused on the right priorities and support healthy work habits.

ActivTrak Coach leverages data collected by the ActivTrak platform about teams’ work habits and applies advanced analytics to quickly surface meaningful trends and coaching guidance tailored to their specific needs. Workforce insights are translated into straightforward, actionable recommendations that empower managers to become more effective coaches and support a culture of continuous improvement — encouraging employee-employer engagement and collaboration, no matter when or where they work.

This helps managers:

  • Identify and validate potential issues such as burnout risk, waning productivity or inefficient workflows before they become serious problems.
  • Increase team productivity, drive employee engagement and collaboration, and promote healthier work habits.
  • Track emerging trends and assess the impact of coaching on team behavior.

The new ActivTrak Coaching page includes five tabs that provide Summary views of weekly productivity trends, and offer drill downs into team Utilization, Efficiency, Focus and Progress. Managers see in-product notifications when new coaching opportunities are available for review, helping them stay on top of emerging trends and patterns.

“The role of manager is more critical than ever in ensuring employee wellness and assessing and addressing issues of engagement, focus and burnout,” said Ramon Chen, chief product officer at ActivTrak. “ActivTrak Coach is just one of the ways we’re committed to giving managers the tools and resources they need to be successful and empower productive, high-performing teams.”
