Taking place at the Digital Catapult, the Environmental Data Exchange hack weekend aims to empower developers to unlock innovation, value and new business approaches through environmental data. With the ever-increasing pressure on energy, infrastructure and time, environmental data is a critical resource that cannot be ignored. The Digital Catapult Environmental Data Exchange will enable users to easily access environmental data while being part of a vibrant community.
The broad theme for the hackathon will be “delivering value, innovation and making a difference via the use and analysis of the data available from the Environmental Data Exchange”. Participants will be free to pitch their ideas during the team formation phase. There will also be a competition and award ceremony based on judging by a panel of industry experts, with a wide range of prizes including becoming part of the Digital Catapult contributor programme.
