DocuSign Announces Three New European Data Centres

Digital transaction specialist DocuSign is opening three new data centres to deliver regional data centre support for the European Union.

Details of the new data centres were revealed at the Bloomberg Enterprise Technology Summit in London today.

Rapid international expansion

Two of the sites will be located in Germany and the Netherlands. The third location is currently under evaluation and will be announced in 2015. The new data centres will support the continued growth and rapid international expansion of the DocuSign Global Trust Network of more than 130,000 companies and more than 48 million users across 188 countries.

Robin Wilton, technical outreach director, Identity & Privacy, Internet Society, said: “I’ve been following DocuSign’s growth for several years now, and it’s testimony to the solid rationale behind each innovation they bring to market. Their Digital Transaction Management platform is one such innovation, and their decision to develop EU-located data centres shows great awareness of the current climate for trusted services.

“Our customers trust DocuSign with their most important, often mission-critical business transactions,” said Grant Peterson, chief technology officer, DocuSign. “We’re pleased to replicate our industry-leading carrier grade availability and bank grade security to our new data centres in Europe to empower anyone to transact anything, anytime, anywhere, on any device securely on the DocuSign Global Trust Network.”

DocuSign aims to help organisations large and small go fully digital by automating manual, paper-based processes.
