Mirantis has kick-started a certification ‘partner’ program that widens support for its version of the OpenStack ecosystem.
Called Mirantis Unlocked, the certification party sees Citrix, Juniper Networks, VMware, Brocade and EMC all get involved. By signing up, partners are making sure that there is complete interoperability between all of their OpenStack technologies and Mirantis’ own distribution.
“OpenStack enables enterprises to weave components from a diverse set of infrastructure innovators into a cohesive datacenter operating system,” said Mirantis co-founder, Boris Renski.
The new signups means the total amount of vendors who have Mirantis-capable technologies is now 47.
Mirantis said its Unlocked partners gain support, pre-validation and certification with Mirantis OpenStack. “Beyond simple API interoperability and infrastructure driver testing,” said the Mountain View-based company.
“Providers are able to develop, certify and document a plugin for the Fuel OpenStack installer, automating the customer deployment and configuration experience. Similarly, Mirantis Unlocked partners focused on providing developer platforms and tooling can integrate with OpenStack via the Murano application catalog.”
