TechWeekEurope’s Tech Success Winners Revealed

Tech Success Award

Prepare for online emotions – you are all invited!

After months of excitement and deliberation, TechWeekEurope is to finally announce the winners of the inaugural Tech Success Awards. By lunchtime today, a bunch of resourceful and creative IT professionals will have the recognition of their peers.

The awards are being given to outstanding IT projects submitted to TechWeekEurope, in various categories, and have been chosen by a panel of expert judges. Alongside Editor Peter Judge, the other judges include Ian Osborne, project director at the IT industry association Intellect, analyst Clive Longbottom of QuoCirca and green IT expert Liam Newcombe of Romonet.

Tech Success is everywhere

“We had a very strong field of entrants, and whittling them down to a shortlist has been very difficult,” said TechWeekEurope editor Peter Judge. “Every one of the entrants was a real Tech Success. The shortlist has been published and we will reveal who the winners are today.”

The profession of IT is changing, as techniques such as the cloud and social media allow IT departments to shift their focus. Forward-looking IT people are becoming service providers and enablers for their companies, and TechWeekEurope has rounded up some great projects doing just that. Our major partner in the project, Intellect, is an active professional body for IT.

This year’s awards consist of Cloud , Mobile, Green IT and Public Sector IT projects of the year, along with an overall award for the most innovative project submitted to us.

The awards are being presented in a ceremony starting at 11.30 GMT. It’s an online webinar, so there is plenty of room for all of you, and we hope you can join us to make it a party.

And entries will be soon opened for the 2013 Tech Success Awards, so get your entries ready!
