HP Execs Donatelli And Bradley To Leave – Reports

Meg Whitman CEO HP

Dave Donatelli and Scott Bradley apparently looking for other jobs as Meg Whitman reshuffles HP’s deck

Two senior HP executives are about to leave the company as part of CEO Meg Whitman’s management shake-up. Dave Donatelli and Todd Bradley were sidelined from high-profile jobs last year, and are understood to be working on their exit strategy.

Bradley, who once headed printing and PCs at HP, and Donatelli, who was in charge of HP’s enterprise business, were moved from their former high-powered roles at the company in the latter half of 2013. Now Bradley is expected to leave in February and Donatelli in March, according to Reuters.  Meg Whitman was appointed CEO in 2011 and has since been reshaping the company.

Donatelli HPTwo more out the door?

Donatelli (pictured) was recruited from EMC in 2009 to work in the enterprise division under Ann Livermore, a one-time contender for the HP CEO’s chair who was herself moved on during Leo Apotheker’s brief reign over the company.

Donatelli hung on till last year, but after HP’s poor performance in the enterprise market he was moved to one side, asked to investigate investment opportunities for HP and – sources say – told to look at other options outside the company.

Bradley, meanwhile, formerly had charge of two giant parts of HP’s empire – the ink-peddling printer business and the PC division. Just recently the leader in those markets, the company fell out of favour under Apotheker (who announced plans to sell off the PC business) and also fell behind – with Lenovo seizing the crown of largest PC maker in the world.

The post Bradley got when he was sidelined involved building HP’s presence in China, among other things.

Although plenty of sources seem certain that the two are headed for the door, and both have spoken to other firms about senior roles – with Dell and Juniper among the names mentioned – there seems little concrete evidence of where they might end up.

HP, of course, has declined our request for comment on the story.
