Images of three new BlackBerry devices leaked on Weibo

Blackberry is looking to continue its recovery with a new set of weirdly shaped smartphones, according to photos leaked on Chinese site Weibo.

The images suggest the Canadian firm is planning two more devices alongside the curved-screen slider-phone it teased at Mobile World Congress back in March.

This includes a successor to the business-focused BlackBerry Passport device and a new Porsche Design handset targeting high-end customers.

Coming soon?

blackberry slider 2Rumoured to be called the BlackBerry Slider or BlackBerry Venice, the slider device (pictured left) looks set to sport some high-end specifications. The reports claim that it will feature a 5.1 inch, 1440 x 2560 pixel display, and be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 800 processor, a 16 megapixel main camera, 5 megapixel front-facing shooter and a 3,650 mAh battery.

As for the Passport-beater, reported to be called the BlackBerry Oslo (pictured right), it will share much of its younger brother’s hardware, including a 1440 x 1440 pixel display, Snapdragon 800 chipset, 13 megapixel camera with OIS and 3,450 mAh battery, as well as a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Lastly, the Porsche Design handset, so signified by its P9984 build number, also looks set to resemble the Passport, but feature Porsche-influenced design.blackberrypassport2

BlackBerry has yet to comment on the images, and there’s no news on availability or pricing yet, but launching three devices together would be an interesting move from the company.

The company’s most recent launch was the BlackBerry Leap, an affordable, full touchscreen phone targeted at privacy-conscious consumers and businesses, which went on sale in the UK a few weeks ago.
