Channel Firms Must Work To Catch Up To Cloud

retailNew research released today indicates that IT consultants are too hardware focused, and need to focus more on cloud solutions.

That’s according to a study by cloud applications provider Intermedia, which reports that almost a quarter of IT decision makers (ITDMs) questioned feel that VARs and MSPs still don’t put enough emphasis on cloud solutions.

Citrix Announces New VP Of Partner Strategy & Sales

Citrix has appointed Craig Stilwell as vice president of worldwide partner strategy & sales. As new worldwide channel leader, Craig will draw from his extensive sales and channel leadership experience to invigorate our commitment to our partners and their long-term success and profitability.

Stillwell, who was previously head of US commercial sales at Citrix, replaces Kimberley Martin, who held the post until recently.

UK Channel Reports Strong IoT Sales

Dell EMC’s latest reseller study has revealed that that Internet of Things (IoT) will set the channel alight in 2017, with adoption rates soaring over the last 12 months.

In somewhat of a surprise, more than three quarters of resellers surveyed said they have seen their customers’ businesses being influenced by IoT technologies daily, particularly within the small to medium enterprise segment and 66 percent of respondents stated that IoT revenues had increased by up to 30 percent in the last financial year.

Arrow To Offer F5 Cloud Licences To MSPs

Arrow Electronics has signed up to F5 Networks’ Cloud Licensing Programme (CLP) meaning it is an authorised distributor of F5’s cloud services to Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

“I’m happy to see how Arrow embraces F5’s Cloud Licensing Programme in ArrowSphere,” said Jaak Cuppens, F5’s manager of channel sales cloud and MSP in EMEA. “As such adding a new consumption model for EMEA cloud partners and subsequent extend the customer experience with F5 solutions on their journey to app-centric cloud strategy.”
