Automated Manipulation of PDF Files
In many workflows PDF files take a central role; that typically also means you need to manipulate these files frequently. Many PDF tools have hot folder support but it is still not easy to chain several tools together that way.
The SWITCH products provide an answer to this by allowing you to automate many PDF related tasks visually and consistently. This page shows you only a sample of what you can accomplish with FullSWITCH and PowerSWITCH; there is virtually an unlimited number of applications.
If you have created PDF files or you have received them from your customers, you want to check whether they are good enough for use.
You can do so in SWITCH with the standard PDF preflight tools from callas (pdfInspektor) and Enfocus (PitStop Server).
Both tools are supported in SWITCH through a configurator which means you can set them up from within SWITCH.
For PitStop Server the configurator even allows you to generate text and XML reports!

Do you have tools that require single page PDF files? Or the opposite, do you need one PDF file from a bunch of single pages? The Adobe Acrobat Professional configurator allows split and merge of PDF files, together with more advanced things such as running JavaScripts on PDF files and printing PDF files.
You can also use the configurator to convert any format Adobe Acrobat can open to PDF.
